About 80 experts from leading Chinese energy companies convened in Shennongjia, Hubei Province, on Thursday to call for increased biodiversity conservation efforts amidst the ongoing energy transition. The gathering highlighted the critical balance between advancing energy infrastructure and preserving the region's rich natural ecosystems.
The seminar, organized by the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) in collaboration with local government officials, featured representatives from notable energy firms such as the State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China Huaneng Group, China Three Gorges Corporation, China Huadian Corporation, and China Green Development Investment Group. These industry leaders shared success stories and collaborative strategies aimed at integrating sustainable practices into their operations to foster long-term environmental stewardship.
