China Propels Global Connectivity with New Satellite Internet Launch

The Chinese mainland successfully launched the first batch of low Earth orbit satellites for its satellite internet constellation from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province on Monday evening.

The launch occurred at 6 p.m. Beijing Time, utilizing a Long March-5B carrier rocket equipped with a Yuanzheng-2 (Expedition-2) upper stage. This mission marks the 552nd launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets, showcasing the continued advancement and reliability of China's space program.

With the satellites now in their designated orbits, this milestone enhances China's efforts to expand global internet coverage, aiming to provide more robust and widespread connectivity. The successful deployment underscores China's commitment to leading in space technology and contributing to the global digital infrastructure.
