The Beijing News annual reading gala, titled \"I See Green Mountains,\" is set to open on January 11, 2025. The event will showcase 74 books published throughout 2024, meticulously selected by the Beijing News' editorial team.
These books span four categories: literature and arts, humanities and history, social sciences and economics, and children's knowledge and lifestyle. The selection process involves 12 invited experts and scholars who will engage in discussions to vote on the final recommended reading list, which will be unveiled at the gala.
With over two decades of tradition, this annual book selection has highlighted numerous inspirational works, reflecting authors' relationships with the world and their insights on life.
