China and France Pledge to Boost Economic and Financial Cooperation

In a significant move towards strengthening bilateral relations, the Chinese mainland and France have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing economic and financial cooperation.

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Antoine Armand held discussions via video links on Thursday, focusing on expanding the scope and depth of collaboration between the two nations.

He Lifeng, serving as the lead representative of the China-France High Level Economic and Financial Dialogue, emphasized the importance of implementing the consensus reached by their respective heads of state. He highlighted the need to deepen cooperation across various sectors, enhance complementarity, and strive for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, aiming to ensure the steady and robust development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.

On his part, Antoine Armand expressed France’s willingness to strengthen coordination with the Chinese mainland, aiming to consistently broaden bilateral cooperation to encompass a wider range of areas and achieve a more profound level of partnership.

These discussions signal a renewed focus on fostering strong economic ties, which could pave the way for collaborative initiatives that drive growth and innovation in both economies.
