China Coast Guard Criticizes Philippines’ Actions in South China Sea

On Thursday, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard (CCG) officially condemned the Philippines for its recent provocative behavior in the South China Sea. The CCG urged Manila to immediately halt all forms of infringement and inflammatory actions.

The Philippines deployed multiple vessels on Wednesday, engaging in acts of intrusion into Chinese territorial waters around Huangyan Dao and Xianbin Jiao, which are part of the Nansha Qundao archipelago, according to Liu Dejun, a spokesperson for the CCG.

\"These actions severely violated China's territorial sovereignty, went against the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and undermined regional peace and stability,\" Liu stated.

The South China Sea remains a contentious region with multiple nations asserting territorial claims. Recent deployments and maneuvers by various countries have heightened tensions, raising concerns over regional security and the adherence to international agreements.

Efforts to maintain peace and stability in the area continue, with international observers calling for dialogue and adherence to established protocols to prevent further escalations.
