China Sweeps India 8-0 at ITTF Mixed Team World Cup

In a commanding performance at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Mixed Team World Cup, China secured their second consecutive title by defeating India with an 8-0 sweep. The event took place in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, showcasing China's exceptional prowess in table tennis.

The Chinese team maintained an unblemished record throughout the tournament, not losing a single game against either India or Australia in their first match. The opening mixed doubles match saw Lin Shidong and Kuai Man dominate their Indian counterparts, Jeet Chandra and Pritha Vartikar, with scores of 11-8, 11-2, and 11-2, giving China an early 3-0 lead.

Wang Yidi then took the stage in the women's singles, facing Yashaswini Ghorpade. Wang delivered a strong performance, winning the first two games 11-4 and 11-3. Despite Ghorpade's resilience in the third game, Wang maintained her composure and clinched the final game 11-8, pushing China to a 6-0 advantage.

The men's singles match featured a face-off between India's Snehit Suravajjula and China's Wang Chuqin. The first game was tightly contested, but Wang ultimately triumphed 11-5. In the second game, Suravajjula made a significant comeback, leading 8-4. However, Wang showcased his skill and determination, tying the game at 8-8 before securing the victory with an 11-9 final score.

China's flawless performance at the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup underscores their dominance in the sport and sets a high bar for upcoming international competitions.
