Jeminay Port Achieves 10-Year High in Cross-Border Passenger Travel

The Jeminay Port in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has reached a milestone this year, recording 100,000 cross-border passenger tripsโ€”a 10-year record high, according to local officials.

As of Friday, the port has experienced a remarkable 250 percent increase in border entries and exits, peaking at over 700 passengers in a single day. This surge highlights the growing popularity of Jeminay Port as a key gateway between China and Kazakhstan.

Strategically positioned along the Belt and Road Initiative, Jeminay Port benefits from streamlined customs clearance procedures, making it a preferred route for travelers. The expansion of China's visa-free entry list has further facilitated the influx of visitors seeking efficient and convenient cross-border travel options.

Yao Lin, a division head at the border inspection station, emphasized the port's commitment to excellence. \"We continue to optimize and address the challenges in customs clearance to propel high-level opening up,\" Lin stated. This dedication to quality service has been instrumental in attracting more passengers and fostering greater connectivity between the two nations.
