Honoring 43 CPV Heroes: Remains Repatriated to NE China with Gun Salutes

A somber and heartfelt burial ceremony was held in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, northeast China, to honor the remains of 43 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) soldiers who perished during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953).

The ceremony featured a poignant 12-gun salute, symbolizing deep respect and remembrance for these fallen heroes.

The remains were repatriated from the Republic of Korea on Thursday, marking the 11th such return since 2014. This repatriation follows a bilateral handover agreement between China and South Korea, bringing the total number of returned CPV martyrs to 981.

The gesture underscores the enduring bond and shared history between the two nations, honoring the sacrifices made decades ago.
