Snowstorms Expected in Northeast Chinese Mainland Amid National Warming Trends

As temperatures across the Chinese mainland begin to climb, bringing warmer days to southern and central regions, the northeastern provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang brace for a different weather pattern. The National Meteorological Centre warns of heavy snowfall and potential blizzards in these areas, contrasting sharply with the warmer trends unfolding elsewhere.

This weekend, central northern China is set to experience maximum temperatures of 10°C, while many southern regions are anticipated to exceed 20°C. However, northeastern residents have already felt the chill, with temperatures plummeting more than 10°C in Jilin and Heilongjiang since Tuesday, setting the stage for continued wintery conditions.
