China and Luxembourg Boost Collaboration for Sustainable China-EU Relations

In a move to strengthen international ties, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed China's readiness to collaborate with Luxembourg to foster sustainable and sound China-EU relations during a meeting with Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, on Monday.

Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, praised Luxembourg as a crucial partner for China. He stated, \"The bilateral relations have achieved long-term and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic ties more than 50 years ago.\"

The Chinese Foreign Minister highlighted Luxembourg's positive and practical approach toward China and emphasized China's commitment to consolidating mutual political trust, enhancing complementarities, creating new growth points for green development cooperation, increasing people-to-people exchanges, and advancing bilateral relations further.

Highlighting that next year marks the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations, Wang reiterated that China and the EU view each other as partners rather than rivals. He also expressed hope that the EU will continue to uphold its strategic autonomy.
