Xi Jinping Reaffirms Strong China-Morocco Partnership in Casablanca Meeting

In a pivotal meeting in Casablanca, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping met with Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan to strengthen the strategic partnership between China and Morocco. Following his state visit to Brazil, Xi emphasized China's readiness to support Morocco in safeguarding its national security and stability.

Xi highlighted the robust development of China-Morocco relations, citing fruitful cooperation and vibrant exchanges across various sectors. Reflecting on the 2016 state visit of King Mohammed VI to China, Xi noted that their productive talks significantly elevated bilateral ties.

Committed to mutual support on key issues, Xi announced China's intention to implement the outcomes of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. He also underscored the importance of deepening collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Cultural exchange was another focal point of the meeting. Xi stressed expanding these exchanges to build a strong foundation of goodwill between the two nations. Crown Prince Moulay Hassan echoed these sentiments, expressing gratitude for China's support during the COVID-19 pandemic and reaffirming Morocco's dedication to enhancing ties through high-level exchanges and expanded cooperation.

The Crown Prince also noted the growing popularity of Chinese language and culture in Morocco and expressed hope for further cultural collaboration. He emphasized Morocco's commitment to supporting national sovereignty, security, and stability, aligning with China's positions on these critical issues.
