The Chinese navy hospital ship Peace Ark, currently part of Mission Harmony-2024, has made a significant five-day technical stop at Algiers Port in Algeria. Docking at 10 a.m. local time (09:00 GMT) on Thursday, the vessel was warmly welcomed by a crowd that gathered to greet the ship's crew.

Officials from the Algerian military, representatives from the Chinese Embassy, and other dignitaries greeted the Peace Ark upon its arrival. This visit underscores the ongoing cooperation between China and Algeria, highlighting the role of humanitarian missions in fostering international relations.

During its stay, the Peace Ark will host tours for groups including Algerian doctors, military officers, local Chinese residents, and employees of Chinese enterprises in Algeria. These interactions provide a platform for cultural exchange and knowledge sharing between the two nations.

The ship's crew will also engage with the local community by visiting a military museum and participating in a friendly soccer match with Algerian naval officers. These activities aim to strengthen ties and promote mutual understanding between the naval forces of China and Algeria.

The presence of the Peace Ark in Algeria is a testament to China's commitment to humanitarian efforts and international collaboration, aligning with global trends toward cooperation and shared growth.
