China Dominates Guam with 101-53 Victory in FIBA Asia Cup Qualifier

China secured a commanding 101-53 win over Guam in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualifying tournament held in Hefei, Anhui Province in the Chinese mainland, on Thursday. This victory marks China's second win after three games in Group C.

The match was significant as it was head coach Guo Shiqiang's first game since taking over the Chinese national team in July. Demonstrating remarkable teamwork, all 12 players scored points, with six of them achieving double figures.

Yang Hansen led the team with 16 points, while Zeng Fanbo contributed 14 points and eight rebounds. The game became less competitive early in the second half as China extended their lead to over 40 points, effectively securing their win.

Speaking after the game, Guo Shiqiang said, \"It's the first international game of the new Chinese national team. It means a lot to us. Our players performed well and showed great spirit while fighting with resilience and positive mindsets. They implemented the tactics well on both offense and defense.\"
