President Xi emphasized the continuous growth of the bilateral relationship, highlighting it as a model of mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, and joint development between nations. He expressed China's commitment to upholding strong friendship ties, enhancing high-level exchanges, and maintaining mutual trust and transparency with Singapore.
\"China is eager to work with Singapore to uphold our friendship, strengthen high-level exchanges, and continue our path of modernization and high-quality development,\" Xi stated. He also acknowledged Singapore's pivotal role in China's reform and opening-up process and welcomed further collaboration on key projects such as the Suzhou Industrial Park, Tianjin Eco-City, Chongqing Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, and Guangzhou Knowledge City.
Facing unprecedented global changes, China aims to bolster its partnership with Singapore within multilateral platforms like the United Nations and APEC. President Xi envisions a multipolar world characterized by equality and order, alongside an inclusive and mutually beneficial economic globalization.
Prime Minister Wong highlighted the robust economic relations and close high-level exchanges between Singapore and China. He affirmed Singapore's understanding of China's stance on the Taiwan question, opposition to any form of \"Taiwan independence,\" and firm adherence to the one-China principle.
Looking ahead, Singapore plans to mark the 35th anniversary of its diplomatic ties with China by opening a new chapter in their comprehensive and forward-looking partnership. Prime Minister Wong also committed to enhancing collaboration in multilateral forums such as ASEAN and APEC, opposing protectionism, promoting trade and investment liberalization, and safeguarding regional stability and development.
