Microsoft President Highlights China’s Rapid Tech Advancement

At the recent Web Summit in Lisbon, Microsoft's vice chair and president, Brad Smith, shed light on China's impressive strides in technology. Speaking to CNBC, Smith emphasized that China is \"in many ways\" catching up with the U.S. and Europe in technological developments.

\"I think one of the dangers, frankly, is that people who don't go to China too often assume that they're behind,\" Smith remarked. \"But when you go there, you're impressed by how much they're doing.\"

Smith highlighted that the competition between Chinese and American companies in the tech sector will persist into the distant future. He urged U.S. and European businesses to collaborate more closely to boost their economies and drive innovations, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence, onto the global stage.

This perspective underscores the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape of global technology, emphasizing the need for international cooperation to stay ahead in the innovation race.
