Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Wednesday emphasized the need for new progress in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region during his visit to Hebei Province.
During his research trip, Premier Li highlighted the importance of driving development through innovation, accelerating a comprehensive green transition, and supporting the high-standard construction of the Xiong'an New Area.
At China Satellite Network Group in the Xiong'an New Area, Li stressed attracting competitive enterprises to establish themselves and cultivating a high-tech industrial system to inject new momentum into the area's growth.
Premier Li also toured Baiyangdian Lake to learn about ecological environment management and praised local efforts to enhance the region's ecological health. He underscored the need for coordinated protection and restoration of the lake and its surrounding areas.
In Baoding, Li visited a semiconductor company to review its advancements in scientific and technological innovation. He encouraged the company to stay ahead of cutting-edge trends, increase R&D investment, overcome challenges in key technologies, and continuously enhance its competitive edge.
Additionally, Premier Li inspected a dike construction site in Zhuozhou, reviewing progress and receiving reports on major post-disaster water conservancy projects in Hebei. He called for accelerated housing reconstruction and improved flood control systems in response to last year's severe rainstorms and floods.
As winter approaches, Li urged local officials to prioritize the well-being of affected residents, ensuring their safety and support throughout the season.
