Xi Jinping Releases Comprehensive Collection on Natural Resource Management

The Book of Xi Jinping's Discourses on Natural Resources Work has been unveiled by the Central Party Literature Press, offering a deep dive into sustainable development strategies. Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has emphasized the importance of managing natural resources effectively.

This compilation features 286 excerpts from over 150 significant speeches and writings delivered by Xi between December 2012 and October 2024. Organized around eight key themes, the book highlights efforts to optimize territorial space, promote holistic conservation, and ensure systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, lakes, grasslands, and deserts.

Xi's insights are pivotal in enhancing property rights and management systems for natural resource assets, supporting high-quality development with robust environmental protection, and striving towards a modernized society where humanity and nature coexist harmoniously. Notably, some passages are being shared with the public for the first time, providing fresh perspectives on China's approach to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
