In an electrifying match at the AFC Champions League Elite, Pohang Steelers from South Korea's K League 1 emerged victorious against Shandong Taishan of the Chinese Super League (CSL) with a final score of 4-2. Shandong struggled to regain momentum, and Oberdan's assist to Teixeira led to a fourth goal for Pohang in the 76th minute, sealing a comfortable three-goal lead. Despite Bi Jinhao's late effort to score for Shandong during stoppage time, it wasn't enough to overturn the deficit, resulting in Shandong's second loss in four games.

Elsewhere in the AFC Champions League Elite, Al Nassr dominated Al Ain with a staggering 5-1 victory at home. Yokohama F. Marinos also delivered a commanding performance, defeating Buriram United 5-0.
