The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the world’s first national-level exposition dedicated to imports, officially opened its doors in Shanghai on Tuesday.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered a keynote speech at the grand opening ceremony, highlighting the significance of the event in fostering global trade and economic cooperation. Concurrently, the Hongqiao International Economic Forum also commenced, setting the stage for impactful discussions.
Running from November 5 to 10, this year’s CIIE has attracted an impressive 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions. The expo has also set a new milestone by welcoming 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, underscoring the event’s growing prestige and international appeal.
Attendees can look forward to more than 400 new products, technologies, and services being unveiled throughout the expo. Experts view this as a strong indicator of global companies’ confidence in the Chinese market and their commitment to further development in China, even amidst a sluggish global economic recovery.
The 7th CIIE continues to position Shanghai as a pivotal hub for international trade, innovation, and collaboration, offering a vibrant platform for businesses and innovators to connect and thrive.
