The Ma Ying-jeou Culture and Education Foundation in Taiwan is gearing up to host 40 faculty members and students from seven prestigious mainland universities for a nine-day cultural and educational exchange starting November 27. This visit follows last year's successful engagement, fostering stronger cross-Straits relations.
Selected participants hail from renowned institutions such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Sport University, including celebrated Olympic champions like table tennis star Ma Long and shooting gold medalist Yang Qian. The group will explore six prominent universities in Taiwan, including Taiwan University and Chengchi University, to gain deeper insights into Taiwan's academic landscape.
Beyond academia, the itinerary features visits to iconic landmarks like Sun Moon Lake and immersive experiences in Taiwan's vibrant baseball culture, providing a holistic understanding of the island's rich history and natural beauty.
This initiative marks the second participation by the foundation, building on last year's positive impact. Furthermore, reciprocal exchanges continue as Ma Ying-jeou, former chairman of the Kuomintang, leads youth groups from Taiwan to the mainland, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration.
