Chinese swimmers Pan Zhanle, Qin Haiyang, and Tang Qianting showcased their prowess by securing three gold medals on the second day of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Singapore.
Pan Zhanle triumphed in the men's 100-meter freestyle final, finishing in 46.09 seconds. His victory marked his first in this event at a short-course pool, following competitions in Shanghai Municipality, Incheon, and Singapore.
Qin Haiyang continued his streak by winning the men's 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 25.47 seconds. He narrowly defeated Ilya Shymanovich of Belarus and Caspar Corbeau of the Netherlands, maintaining his top position in this event across all three World Cup stops.
Tang Qianting dominated the women's 100-meter breaststroke, completing the race in 1:03.10. This win adds to her collection of titles from Shanghai, Incheon, and Singapore, highlighting her consistency and excellence in the pool.
In addition to the gold medals, China's Yang Junxuan and Yu Yiting earned silvers in their respective events. Yang finished just 0.27 seconds behind Siobhan Haughey of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the women's 200-meter freestyle, while Yu secured silver in the women's 50-meter butterfly, trailing behind Kate Douglass of the USA.
The day also saw Leon Marchand of France set a new world record in the men's 200-meter individual medley, completing the race in 1:48.88 and earning his second gold in Singapore.
