Young Artist Jasper Lu Explores China’s Modern and Ancient Wonders

Meet Jasper Lu, an 11-year-old artist who has seamlessly blended his American upbringing with his Chinese heritage. Born and raised in New York, Jasper moved back to Shanghai with his parents two years ago. In his new home, he has been captivated by the city's tall skyscrapers, beautiful skylines, and advanced technology, immersing himself in the vibrant modern landscape of the Chinese mainland.

This past summer, Jasper ventured beyond the bustling city to explore China's rich ancient history. Alongside his friends, he traveled through the renowned Hexi Corridor and the legendary Silk Road, experiencing firsthand the country's timeless treasures. \"I was amazed by so many invaluable art pieces in the world-famous grottoes and the crescent dunes in the desert. It's incredible to see how modern and ancient times can coexist in such harmony,\" Jasper shared.

These experiences ignited Jasper’s creativity, inspiring his latest work, The Wrinkle in Time. Through his art, he captures the unique blend of China's past and present, celebrating the country's cultural legacy and its forward momentum.
