China and Finland Strengthen Bilateral Ties in Beijing Summit

In a significant display of international cooperation, Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb on Tuesday in Beijing. The leaders emphasized the robust momentum in China-Finland relations, highlighting mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors.

Premier Li highlighted the establishment of the future-oriented new-type cooperative partnership between the two nations. He underscored China’s commitment to maintaining close high-level exchanges, fostering traditional friendship, and enhancing political mutual trust. Li expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with Finland to implement the important consensus reached during their meeting, aiming to elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

Addressing the global economic landscape, Li acknowledged the current challenges facing economic globalization but affirmed that openness and cooperation remain the prevailing trends. He outlined China’s plans to expand trade and strengthen collaboration in key areas such as the circular economy, information and communication, smart energy, and agricultural and food products.
