China Denounces U.S. Media’s Espionage Allegations

In a recent statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry strongly rejected claims made by U.S. media alleging that China engages in espionage activities.

During a regular press briefing on Monday, Lin Jian, spokesperson for the ministry, criticized Western media for perpetuating what he described as \"false narratives\" surrounding China's supposed espionage operations. “Apart from some baseless speculations and remarks, there are no facts or evidence,” Lin stated firmly.

Lin highlighted that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has released guidelines in the Chinese language on social media platforms, aiming to entice Chinese nationals to collaborate with the CIA. He condemned these actions as a serious violation of China's national interests.

The spokesperson emphasized China's commitment to counteracting infiltration and sabotage efforts by overseas anti-China entities to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and developmental interests effectively.

Moreover, Lin accused the CIA of employing various unethical methods to steal secrets from other nations and meddle in their internal affairs over an extended period. He asserted that the United States has consistently engaged in espionage against China and its global allies, conducting large-scale wiretapping and unauthorized information theft while simultaneously launching unfounded espionage accusations against other countries.

Concluding his remarks, Lin urged the U.S. to cease its wrongful actions and refrain from introducing further chaos and turmoil into international relations.
