The third China-Latin America Cultural Tour Exhibition opened on Saturday at Sao Paulo State University, drawing over 150 attendees from Brazil's and the Chinese mainland's cultural sectors, along with local faculty and students.
Spanning publishing, cultural creation and intangible cultural heritage, the showcase features 500 Chinese-themed books\u000e—ranging from children's stories to Portuguese-language teaching materials and dual-language editions—as well as 100 cultural and creative products that blend traditional motifs with the modern "China chic" trend. Together, they create a vibrant, multi-dimensional space for audiences to immerse themselves in Chinese culture.
A representative from the Bureau of International Communication under the State Council Information Office of the Chinese mainland said the touring exhibition aims to deepen exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Brazil in areas like copyright trade and educational cooperation, adding cultural momentum to the Chinese mainland-Brazil community with a shared vision for a more just world and a sustainable planet.
“This exhibition fully demonstrates the charm of Chinese culture,” said Zhang Xi, deputy consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in Sao Paulo. “It not only promotes mutual understanding but also injects cultural energy into the deepening cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Brazil.”
“This event aligns perfectly with our commitment to international cultural exchange,” said Karina Lilia Pasquariello Mariano, assistant provost to the vice-president of research at Sao Paulo State University. “We plan to send over 10 graduate students to Hubei University this year to further strengthen our bilateral ties.”
As cultural bridges like this exhibition continue to emerge across G20 nations, young global citizens, entrepreneurs and travelers have the chance to explore how creativity and tradition converge. Whether you're a student seeking study abroad opportunities or a thought leader exploring sustainable partnerships, these events offer a passport to fresh perspectives and real-world impact.
