The Chinese premier Li Qiang is set to attend the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) in north China's Tianjin Municipality from June 24 to 25. The announcement was made by a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Monday.
At the Opening Plenary, Premier Li will deliver a keynote speech, engage with foreign guests and hold discussions with leaders of the international business community. His attendance highlights Beijing's push to deepen cooperation on emerging technologies, sustainable growth and global economic recovery.
This year's AMNC lineup brings together high-level voices including President Daniel Noboa of Ecuador, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore, Prime Minister Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko of Senegal and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of Vietnam. In total, over 1,700 representatives from the political, business, academic and media sectors across more than 90 countries and regions are expected to participate.
For digitally savvy global citizens and business innovators, the AMNC offers a platform to chart the next wave of investment, tech innovation and policy collaboration. Young entrepreneurs and changemakers will be watching closely for new partnerships that can drive green technology, digital transformation and inclusive growth.
As the Chinese premier takes the stage, attendees will explore how to navigate complex challenges – from supply chain resilience to climate action – while forging cross-border ties. Stay tuned for updates from Tianjin as the forum unfolds.
