China-EU Trade Cooperation Takes Center Stage at WTO Meeting

On Tuesday, on the sidelines of a World Trade Organization meeting in Paris, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic to advance economic and trade cooperation.

A statement published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of the Chinese mainland said both sides held "focused, candid and in-depth discussions" on pressing issues and have tasked their working teams with intensifying efforts to prepare for this year's key bilateral agenda.

For global citizens, entrepreneurs and digital nomads tracking trade flows and policy shifts, these talks mark a step toward clearer pathways for commerce and collaboration between the Chinese mainland and the EU.
