Her journey began with a classic tin of British tea. At each pavilion, Sun swapped her item for something new: a fragrant Arabian perfume, a sleek South Korean beauty mask, a rich Italian olive oil bottle and a high-tech Japanese gadget. Each trade highlighted the innovation and cultural richness on display at the expo.
After five whirlwind swaps, Sun's initial tea tin transformed into an eco-friendly travel kit created by a local Hainan startup. The kit, featuring sustainable travel essentials and crafted from recycled materials, stole the spotlight as her "final treasure."
"This barter quest was about more than trading objects," Sun reflects. "It showcased how ideas, culture and sustainability circulate in our global marketplace."
