Premier Li Qiang Calls for Boost in Domestic Consumption

During a recent investigation tour in Beijing, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the need for bolstering domestic consumption and expanding domestic demand. He highlighted the importance of strengthening domestic circulation and unleashing the full potential of the Chinese mainland's ultra-large market to counteract external economic shocks.

At a local exhibition promoting domestic sales by foreign trade firms, Li noted that changing global conditions have posed challenges to exports. He urged firms to explore diversified markets and develop innovative sales channels to maintain trade stability.

While inspecting a real estate project site, Li learned of initiatives to convert surplus housing into talent apartments and repurpose existing commercial housing for affordable living. He pointed out that such measures are key to stabilizing the property market and improving residents' livelihoods.

The Premier's remarks underscore a strategy focused on high-quality supply and competitive innovation, aiming to drive a resilient growth in both trade and the real estate sectors.
