China Calls for Dialogue Amid Escalating Trade Tensions

In a recent development capturing global attention, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the United States to step back from pressure, threats, and blackmail tactics in the ongoing trade dispute. The ministry’s spokesperson stressed that tariff and trade wars have no winners, emphasizing that de-escalation through dialogue is the best path forward.

Following a statement from the White House warning that China now faces up to a 245-percent tariff on imports as a consequence of its so-called retaliatory actions, the spokesperson reiterated that the tariff conflict was initiated by the U.S. side. The Chinese stance is clear: if the U.S. genuinely wishes to resolve the issues through negotiation, it must replace extreme measures with a dialogue built on equality, mutual respect, and shared benefit.
