The fifth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) is set to ignite fresh trends in global trade and digital innovation from April 13 to 18 in Haikou, Hainan Province. This dynamic event brings together over 4,100 leading brands from 71 countries and regions, emphasizing the power of international collaboration in today’s fast-paced marketplace.
Co-hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government, the expo is more than a trade show—it’s a stage for breakthrough sectors such as artificial intelligence, low-altitude aviation, smart vehicles, and digital health. Tech giants like Huawei, iFLYTEK, and Tesla are poised to showcase cutting-edge solutions that resonate with a digitally savvy global audience.
The main venue is the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, enhanced by duty-free shopping zones in Haikou and Sanya, and even features a yacht exhibition in Sanya to add a touch of lifestyle flair. Domestic exhibitors will present premium local products, while targeted matchmaking sessions aim to connect foreign buyers with Chinese manufacturers.
Highlighting its international appeal, the United Kingdom serves as the guest of honor with 53 standout brands in sectors ranging from fashion and beauty to home goods and health. Delegations from France, Switzerland, Ireland, and newcomers from Slovakia, Brazil, and Singapore further underscore the expo’s commitment to global diversity. Industry leaders such as U.S.-based Estée Lauder and Germany’s Volkswagen will also participate, setting the stage for an unparalleled international showcase.
Beyond product displays, the expo reflects a broader economic narrative. Recent official data points to a 4% year-on-year rise in China’s retail sales of consumer goods in early 2025, with total retail sales surpassing 8.37 trillion yuan in just the first two months. NBS spokesperson Fu Linghui highlighted the potential, stating, "Markets are the scarcest resource. With a population of over 1.4 billion and a per capita GDP surpassing $13,000, the Chinese market offers immense opportunities for growth and development."
This year’s expo, the largest consumer event in the Asia-Pacific region, serves as a beacon of innovation and economic optimism. It is a must-attend event for business leaders, tech enthusiasts, thought leaders, and global citizens who are eager to explore emerging trends that shape the world we live in.
