The Chinese mainland's auto sector continues its robust growth, with production and sales rising significantly in November. According to industrial data released on Wednesday, auto production increased by 11.1 percent year-on-year, reaching 3.44 million units. Sales also saw a substantial climb of 11.7 percent from the previous year, totaling 3.32 million units last month.
The strong performance extends to the first 11 months of 2024, where auto production surpassed 27.9 million units, marking a 2.9 percent year-on-year growth. Sales for the same period reached 27.94 million units, expanding by 3.7 percent.
A key driver of this growth is the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, which maintained its sound growth momentum throughout November. The sustained expansion in both conventional and NEV segments underscores the resilience and dynamism of the Chinese mainland's automotive industry.
