China is intensifying its commitment to high-level opening up, focusing on the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that China will continue to foster a market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment.
Speaking at a promotional event in Beijing, Wang highlighted the significant progress made in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He noted that the region is attracting an increasing number of regional and global enterprises, creating a dynamic environment of openness and progress.
The Hainan Free Trade Port is being positioned as a new frontier for China's institutional opening up, a hotspot for mutually beneficial regional cooperation, and a driving force for economic globalization. Wang invited global stakeholders to visit Hainan and experience firsthand the opportunities the region offers.
China is also committed to promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and implementing the Global Development Initiative. Wang stated that choosing China means embracing opportunities and the future, underscoring China's dedication to open, innovative, green, inclusive, and peaceful development.
The event in Beijing gathered over 500 attendees, including diplomats and officials from more than 160 countries, representatives from international organizations, government officials, and media representatives.
