The 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit successfully concluded its four-day session in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, China, on Friday. The event attracted over 1,800 guests from more than 130 countries and regions, underscoring its global significance.
Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the WIC, emphasized that enhancing cooperation and harnessing innovative potential were the cornerstones of this yearโs summit. The 2024 edition, themed \"Embracing a People-Centered and AI-For-Good Digital Future โ Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,\" featured 24 sub-forums. These forums delved into critical topics such as the Global Development Initiative, the digital economy, and the governance of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
A highlight of the conference was the Light of Internet Expo, where more than 40 large AI models and specialized vertical AI models were showcased. The expo drew 665 enterprises from 53 countries and regions, including Russia, France, Germany, the UK, and Singapore. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with cutting-edge AI products and explore industrial cooperation opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment for technological advancement.
Throughout the summit, participants engaged in a variety of exhibitions and activities designed to promote knowledge sharing and partnership building. The World Internet Conference 2024 reaffirmed its role as a pivotal platform for global dialogue and innovation in the digital age.
