The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), renowned as the world's largest import fair, successfully concluded in Shanghai on Sunday. Demonstrating robust growth, the event secured tentative deals valued at a staggering $80.1 billion, marking a 2% increase from the previous year.
This year’s CIIE showcased its global appeal by hosting 77 countries and international organizations spanning five continents in the country exhibition. The business exhibition was a testament to the event's expanding reach, welcoming nearly 3,500 companies from 129 countries and regions. Among the exhibitors were 297 Fortune 500 firms and industry leaders, setting a new record for the fair.
The event also saw impressive foot traffic, with 852,000 visitors attending by noon on Sunday. This surge in participation underscores the CIIE’s pivotal role in fostering international trade and collaboration, providing a dynamic platform for businesses and innovators to connect and explore new opportunities.
