This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, highlighting six decades of robust collaboration.
In 2023, amidst global economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions, trade between the two nations reached an impressive $78.9 billion, positioning China as France's top trading partner outside the European Union.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) has been instrumental in showcasing China’s market opportunities and economic advancements since its inception in 2018. This year, France returned as the guest country of honor at the 7th CIIE, presenting a pavilion spanning nearly 20,000 square meters and featuring 130 companies.
The French pavilion showcased both established brands and new entrants, including a special exhibit, \"From French Farms to Chinese Tables,\" emphasizing the vibrancy of bilateral commercial exchanges and French companies' commitment to the Chinese market.
As China accelerates the development of new quality productive forces for high-quality growth and France advances its re-industrialization with a focus on green and digital transformation, the CIIE serves as a pivotal platform for major-country diplomacy and industrial cooperation.
Looking forward, both nations are expected to deepen economic and trade collaboration, align strategically with a more open stance, and enhance cultural and technological exchanges, contributing to global economic prosperity.
