China to Boost Tariffs on Imported Fuel Cars and EU Goods Amid Trade Measures

China is set to increase tariffs on imported fuel-powered cars with large displacement engines, aiming to protect its domestic industries and enterprises. The Ministry of Commerce announced the measures on Tuesday, emphasizing the commitment to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese businesses.

In addition to the automotive sector, China is imposing temporary anti-dumping measures on EU brandy, conducting investigations into certain EU pork and pig by-products, and launching an anti-subsidy probe on specific EU dairy products. These actions are in line with Chinese laws and World Trade Organization regulations, ensuring that all stakeholders are protected and that rulings are objective and fair.

\"We will take all necessary measures to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese industries and enterprises,\" a ministry spokesperson stated on Tuesday.
