German Leaders Criticize EU Tariffs on Chinese Electric Vehicles

German manufacturing leaders have voiced strong opposition to the European Union's recent tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs), labeling them a mistake that could hinder industry growth.

In response, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Wednesday that China is ready to address industry concerns through ongoing dialogue. These comments come amid intensified discussions between China and the EU regarding the imposition of additional tariffs on EVs.

During a recent visit to China, a delegation of German smart manufacturing companies engaged with leading automotive firms to explore advancements and foster collaboration. The delegation emphasized their concerns over the EU's tariffs, advocating for a more cooperative approach to resolve trade tensions and support the global EV market.
