The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) kicked off in Beijing on Thursday, showcasing the Chinese mainland's commitment to greater openness and enhanced cooperation in the global services trade industry.

Under the theme \"Global Services for Mutual Benefits,\" the five-day event highlights cutting-edge technologies and innovative applications that are shaping the future of the services sector.

A key highlight of this year’s fair is the emphasis on developing new quality productivity forces. This initiative represents the Chinese mainland’s pursuit of high-end technology, efficient productivity, and the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Exhibitors are demonstrating how big data, zero-carbon technologies, and digital services are driving the expansion of the services trade. Attendees can immerse themselves in futuristic scenarios through 3D displays and explore advancements in autonomous vehicles at the expo.

CIFTIS has seen significant growth since its inception in 2012.

Global enterprises are discovering new opportunities in the Chinese mainland’s burgeoning services market. Since 2012, over 900,000 exhibitors and visitors from 197 countries have participated in CIFTIS.

This year, 85 countries and international organizations are in attendance, including industry giants like Siemens, Google, Amazon, and GE Healthcare, all showcasing their latest offerings.

Schneider Electric, participating for the fifth time, expressed enthusiasm about the market. Xu Shaofeng, the senior vice president of the French company, stated that they plan to establish a China center for services to tailor products and services that meet the specific needs of the local market.
