Oman Strengthens Economic Partnership with China through Belt and Road Initiative

Oman, a nation with a rich maritime history, is doubling down on trade as a fundamental pillar of its economy. In a recent interview with China Media Group (CMG), Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, governor of Dhofar, emphasized the country's commitment to deepening economic ties with China.

Governor al Said highlighted Oman's active role in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global development strategy adopted by China involving infrastructure development and investments in countries across Europe, Asia, and beyond. \"Our participation in the BRI is a testament to Oman's dedication to fostering robust trade relations and enhancing economic growth,\" he stated.

By reinforcing its partnership with China, Oman aims to leverage the BRI to boost its trade infrastructure, attract investments, and position itself as a key player in global commerce. This strategic move is expected to create new opportunities for businesses and contribute to the sustainable development of Oman's economy.
