The Chinese mainland's foreign trade has experienced significant growth, reaching 24.83 trillion yuan ($3.46 trillion) in the first seven months of this year. This marks a year-on-year increase of 6.2 percent, as reported by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Wednesday.
Lyu Dailiang, spokesperson of the GAC, highlighted the stability of the Chinese mainland's economic operations, emphasizing that foreign trade has maintained a positive trajectory since the start of the year.
Breaking down the figures, exports amounted to 14.26 trillion yuan, up by 6.7 percent, while imports reached 10.57 trillion yuan, a rise of 5.4 percent. This robust performance is attributed to several key factors, including strong domestic demand, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and a resurgence in global trade.
The sustained growth in foreign trade underscores the resilience and dynamism of the Chinese mainland's economy, positioning it favorably in the global market.
