New York Forum Strengthens China-U.S. Trade Partnerships

A major networking forum hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) took place in New York on Monday, partnering with the Chinese consulate and various trade organizations. The event successfully gathered over 300 representatives from both Chinese and American companies and business associations.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of the CCPIT, highlighted the enduring importance of economic and trade cooperation between China and the U.S., noting that their relationship has significantly deepened over the past 45 years since diplomatic ties were established. \"China and the U.S. have strong economic complementarities and deeply intertwined interests,\" Ren stated. He emphasized that enhancing supply chain cooperation is crucial for maintaining the stability and efficiency of global industrial and supply chains, which in turn drives economic growth both domestically and internationally.

Ren further pointed out that the common interests between China and the U.S. are expanding, particularly in traditional sectors like trade and agriculture, as well as in emerging fields such as climate change and artificial intelligence. These areas present ample opportunities for collaboration, fostering mutual benefits for companies from both nations.

The positive outlook was shared by other attendees, including John Wang, president of the Asian American Business Development Center. Wang expressed optimism about the future of China-U.S. economic relations, stating, \"Our continued partnership will not only enhance bilateral relations but will also contribute to global economic stability and growth.\"

The forum underscores the commitment of both Chinese and American businesses to strengthening their economic ties, leveraging shared interests to navigate and thrive in an increasingly interconnected global market.
