More than 2,200 domestic and foreign enterprises are exploring business opportunities at the 30th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, which kicked off on Saturday in Lanzhou, the capital of northwest China's Gansu Province.
Representatives from governments, embassies, consulates, business councils, and companies from 23 countries, including Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Uruguay, have gathered for the five-day event, set to conclude on Wednesday.
To date, 1,325 investment and cooperation deals have been secured, spanning sectors such as digital information, new energy, equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, and specialty agricultural products. The total value of these deals approaches 604 billion yuan (approximately $84.7 billion).
The fair also features business promotions and exchange activities, with over 40,000 visitors expected to attend.
First held in 1993, the Lanzhou Fair serves as a gateway for the opening of northwest China and has become a significant event for Belt and Road economic and trade cooperation.
Last year, the fair attracted more than 1,600 enterprises from home and abroad, resulting in 1,172 contracts during the five-day event.
