China Drives Global Economic Growth at Summer Davos 2024

The 2024 Summer Davos Forum concluded in Dalian on Thursday, attracting over 1,700 guests, including representatives from more than 200 innovative enterprises.

This year’s forum centered around six major themes, such as \"A New Global Economy\" and \"New Frontiers For Industry,\" with a significant focus on \"China and the World.\" Participants highlighted that China's high-quality development is not only promoting global economic growth but also injecting new momentum into the world economy.

Malaysian Minister of Economic Affairs, Rafizi Ramli, emphasized Malaysia's intention to adopt innovative technologies from Chinese enterprises. He expressed optimism about future cooperation in advanced electronics and semiconductor industries, anticipating a rapid development phase in the coming years.

Leaders at the forum noted that China’s emerging technologies and new business models are creating development opportunities for many countries, thereby sustaining positive momentum in global economic development.

David Adelman, Managing Director and General Counsel at KraneShares, praised China’s impressive economic management and its effective handling of the business cycle, reinforcing its position as a major global economy.

Simon Lacey, Head of Digital Trade and Geopolitics at the World Economic Forum, acknowledged China’s robust manufacturing base and its status as a significant high-growth consumer market. He stated that the global economy’s recovery from recent shocks is heavily reliant on China’s continued economic boost.
