Dragon Boat Festival Sees 110 Million Domestic Trips in China

The vibrant Dragon Boat Festival holiday this year turned into a travel boom across China, with a staggering 110 million domestic trips recorded from Saturday to Monday. This marks a 6.3% increase from last year's festivities, as reported by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Spending during the holiday also saw a significant rise, with tourists spending a total of 40.35 billion yuan (approximately $5.57 billion USD), up by 8.1% compared to the same period last year. The surge in travel and spending highlights the enduring popularity of the Dragon Boat Festival and its impact on China's domestic tourism sector.
