China Criticizes U.S. for Expanding Export Control List with 37 Chinese Companies

The United States has taken a significant step by adding 37 Chinese entities to its export control “entity list,” citing alleged involvement in military and Russian-related activities. This move aims to restrict these companies’ access to U.S. technologies and markets.

However, China has firmly opposed this action. A spokesperson from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce criticized Washington for overextending the concept of national security and misusing export control measures to suppress foreign companies. This escalation, according to China, not only damages the legitimate rights of the affected companies but also destabilizes global industrial and supply chains, hindering the recovery and growth of the world economy.

\"China urges the U.S. to immediately stop its wrong practices. We will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies,\" the spokesperson stated.

Additionally, during a regular press briefing, Lin Jian from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that the U.S. has failed to provide concrete evidence to justify its actions under the guise of national security. Lin also emphasized the importance of maintaining normal economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia, asserting that such relationships should remain uninterrupted.
