Global Brands Converge in Haikou for China’s 4th International Consumer Expo

Haikou City in south China's Hainan Province is buzzing with excitement as it hosts the opening ceremony of the fourth China International Consumer Products Expo on Saturday. This year’s event is a landmark gathering, featuring over 4,000 brands from 71 countries and regions, spanning an impressive 128,000 square meters.

Scheduled from April 13 to 18, the expo stands as China’s first major international trade fair of the year and the largest consumer expo in the Asia-Pacific region by scale. It serves as a premier platform for showcasing high-quality consumer products from around the globe, aiming to invigorate the ongoing efforts towards global economic recovery.

Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, highlighted the expo’s role in optimizing consumer supply and enriching consumption scenarios. “This year’s expo has planned a series of activities to drive consumption transformation and upgrade, boosting confidence in economic development,” Peng stated.
