At the China Development Forum (CDF) 2024 in Beijing, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, engaged in meaningful discussions with leaders from some of the world’s most influential multinational enterprises.
Vice Premier He met with Stephen Schwarzman, Chairman and CEO of the Blackstone Group; Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer; and Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. The dialogues focused on the economic prospects of China and the global market, as well as strategies to expand investment within China.
He Lifeng highlighted that China is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces and maintaining a steady economic momentum. He emphasized that global multinational companies are encouraged to further expand their investments in China, citing the country’s robust growth and favorable business environment.
In response, the business leaders expressed strong optimism about the potential of the Chinese market. They conveyed their intentions to increase their investments, citing China’s innovative landscape and expanding economic opportunities as key factors driving their decisions.
The CDF 2024, held on March 24 and 25, centered around the theme \"The Continuous Development of China.\" The forum served as a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration between Chinese policymakers and global business leaders, aiming to sustain and enhance China’s economic development on the international stage.
