CDF 2024: China’s Development Brings Opportunities for Global Growth

The China Development Forum (CDF) 2024, held from March 24 to 25 in Beijing, focused on \"The Continuous Development of China,\" highlighting global interest in the nation's sustainable and high-quality economic progress.

As China's economy kicked off the year with strong momentum, implementing policies to sustain steady growth, experts and business leaders shared a positive outlook at the forum.

Evan G. Greenberg, co-chair of CDF 2024 and CEO of Chubb Limited, emphasized, \"China's economic growth is unprecedented in human history. As the size of China's economy has grown, so has its influence.\"

Masatsugu Asakawa, president of the Asian Development Bank, expressed his encouragement regarding China's developmental strides. \"Looking ahead for China, we see a stable growth trajectory in 2024, within the target range announced by the government,\" Asakawa stated.

In its government work report, China set a target of approximately 5-percent economic expansion for the year. Jack Chan, chairman of EY China and regional managing partner of EY Greater China, described the goal as both pragmatic and inspiring. \"Despite numerous global growth challenges, China's solid economic fundamentals for long-term growth remain unchanged, as demonstrated by its 2023 performance. We maintain confidence in the country's ongoing high-quality development,\" Chan added.

This steady economic outlook not only reinforces China's role in the global market but also presents ample opportunities for international businesses and investors seeking growth in emerging markets.
