Chinese Premier Pushes for Unified National Market to Boost Growth

Chinese Premier Li Qiang has emphasized the importance of building a unified national market to support China's new development paradigm and high-quality growth. Speaking at a themed study session of the State Council, which he chaired on Monday, Premier Li outlined strategies to leverage the nation's vast market, abundant production factors, and comprehensive industrial system.

Premier Li highlighted the need to eliminate key obstacles that impede economic flow, such as restrictive policies and regulations that hinder market unification and fair competition. He stressed the importance of breaking down barriers to market access and addressing issues like local-level protectionism, market segmentation, and chaotic investment promotion practices.

Furthermore, Li called for enhancements in fundamental mechanisms and rules related to intellectual property rights protection, market access, fair competition, and social credit systems. By refining auxiliary policies, the Premier aims to provide robust support for building a unified national market, thereby fostering an environment conducive to sustainable and high-quality economic development.
